Grants for Voluntary and Community Groups

Hull CVS administers two small grant schemes for voluntary and community groups in the City of Hull.

Groups need to be independent—ie they cannot be run by a larger organisation. They must not be purely political; religious; or war like.

Bransholme Trust

With money donated by the Sir James Reckitt Charity and the Hull & East Riding Charitable Trust, Hull CVS makes grants of up to £300 to small voluntary and community groups on Bransholme.

Starter Grants

With money donated by the Sir James Reckitt, Hull CVS makes grants of up to £150 to very small new groups.

03/09/2008 - Nominations for the Hull Compact Volunteering Pioneer Awards 2008

National Compact Week takes place from 1^st to 7^th November 2008, and to promote Hull’s Compact as well as recognising and celebrating the contribution that volunteers make in Hull, nominations are now invited for the Hull Compact Volunteering Pioneer Awards 2008

18/08/2008 - British Red Cross Flood Fund

The British Red Cross Flood Fund is due to close for new application on 22^nd August 2008. Please ensure all applications are in before this date

13/08/2008 - Grassroots Grants

Hull CVS has been awarded a three year grant to become a Grassroots Grants Local Funder by the Community Development Foundation who manage the fund on behalf of the Office of the Third Sector. We will be working alongside York and North Yorkshire Community Foundation who have been awarded a similar grant to deliver Grassroots Grants in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
