Humber Community Advice Services (H-CAS) is a Hull-based charity providing information, advice and support to people from the global majority communities. They are looking for a motivated and disciplined individual to fill the position of Office Manager.

Main Purpose -  Performing office management duties for the smooth running of H-CAS.

 

Job Description 

Office Processes:

  •  Manage daily office processes
  • Track and keep records of office expenses
  • Order stationery and manage the organisation’s inventory
  • Maintain policies and procedures
  • Assist with new employee induction, and maintenance of personnel records
  • Organise meetings, preparing and keeping their records as necessary.

 

Administration:

  • Office administration, organising the office filing, etc.
  • Assisting in the creation & distribution of publicity materials to increase awareness, provide information and widen participation.

 

Person Specification

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge, understanding or experience as an Office Manager or similar administrative role.
  • Experience of working with people from diverse background, preferably with those from the global majority communities; or those who are marginalised or excluded.
  • Experience of working with Information Technology applications, e.g. Microsoft Word & Excel.

 

Qualities, Abilities and Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills; and a commitment to equality & diversity.
  • Enthusiasm, reliability and self-motivation, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Working as part of a team, with an ability to schedule work and manage deadlines.
